My grandmother began what she understood to be a 45 day trial with Miracle-Ear. From the start, the experience was poor.

The technician was rude, disrespectful, and repeatedly cut her off when she spoke. The hearing aids were poorly fitted and kept falling out of her ears. After three weeks she knew that they were not suitable for her. Then they started sending letters trying to intimidate my grandma into giving them money, even going so far as to tell her that if she didn’t give them over $8000.00 for the hearing aids (thousands of dollars more than the original estimate), that she would “get Dementia”.

That is unacceptable, hateful, and manipulative behavior from a business tasked with helping hearing impaired people in need. They engage in fear-mongering and the spreading of false information in order to make a quick buck.

I am furious that anyone would prey on the vulnerable elderly members of our community in this way. There is no moral explanation for trying to frighten little old ladies out of their savings.
