Tested on 11 4 16. Received 11 17 16.

Tried to refuse delivery, as we felt the 4 year commitment to pay was too much for us.... they sweet talked us and said "you have 30 days, try it and see" We did... 12 9 16 in for the first check up, again stated we wanted to return them. Knowing the 15% fee ($600) We were told that the hearing aids were broken and new ones would be ordered.

I had to ask for a written extension of our 30 days.. The hearing aids were taken for "repair". The "new" ones arrived on 12 21 16. After two attempts, they were placed in the box to return on the next visit which was scheduled for 1 13 17.

They did not work. It should be noted that three times the office called trying to change our appt. so the 30 days would be used up. On the last call I told the office that I was returning the hearing aids.

The next day they called and stated that I had to sign and have notarized a statement. WHAT ????? WHY???? Anyway they mailed the form and also a Consumer Comment Form.

The amount of the refund they were going to issue was off by a few hundred dollars ( their favor of course) I delivered the altered notarized statement and the CCF and the hearing aids today. I HAD TO ASK FOR A RECEIPT..... and they did not have any.. so I wrote my own and had the office personnel sign.

I know this is not over for us... I have a great deal to finish with them BUT warning all of you....

I should have done my homework on this company.. STAY AWAY

Took advantage of a frail, elderly person to the tune of $10,000

My 93 y/o mother lost one of her hearing aids and went into the local Miracle Ear office. She had purchased these aids the year before. She was persuaded to buy another pair for $10,000, and was told she needed them because they could go for 3 years without changing the battery and had 8 microphones and she should have a backup (the old one) in case she lost one. I heard about this before she picked them up and intervened to try to get her what she really wanted, which was a replacement for the lost one. She was happy with the current hearing aids and did not need a new pair and did not have any difficulty changing batteries when needed. She was over powered by the persistent sales tactics which I also experienced when I tried to straighten things out. This was clearing taking advantage of a frail, elderly person, who was not able to resist a smooth talking salesman. We don't have the replacement hearing aid yet and I ran into more resistance when I called today to see if they had received the written, notarized statement they required re: the lost hearing aid. I really resent the abusive sales tactics and the resistance to trying to get my mother what she needs.

No local number

I am so tired of all the junk mail from Miracle Ear and so today I decided once again to call them and request not to be on their mailing list. The first number was an 888 listing and it seems that today anyone calling in gets to speak to corporate headquarters. Then, I called 2 numbers starting with my area code....please note that all numbers have a local address...and each of these numbers were in New York state which I told the telemarketers who answered that listing an out of state number with an in-state area code has to be on the edge of not being legal. All I got was a totally irritating *** at the other end who did her best to talk over me the entire time! If anyone was *** enough to actually book an appointment with these people and something went wrong from whatever procedure they did to you, how would you ever be able to get in touch with them without an actual local number? This has to be such a shoddy business designed to fleece the elderly......there has to be something done to put them out of business!!

You want them out of business due to junk mail? Just toss it out with the rest of the junk mail.

I bought a miracle ear aid for the price of $3000. I lost it and my warranty paid for another one but I had to pay $760. Out if my pocket, I have complained n went back, no way was this a new aid, from get go I have had trouble with the button to adjust sound...always give a run around, I spent almost $4000. To still struggle hearing, I think I would do better with a cheap 30 dollars one...

Miracle Ear like buying a used car - buyer beware.
Firstly, their hearing is exactly the same as other firms I talked to. they all sell the same thing. I am in Worcester, MA. The office here are terrible. Constant turnover of people. In my four years of having the aids the last guy, the current guy, is excellent. All others, many, many, hardly knew their product. Be careful of the extended warranty. After three years your hearing aid will not be "made" any more so it can not be replaced. You will need two. (New sale) The extended warranty covers only when the product has to go back to the factory. $400+ per year for that? Buyer beware.

In follow up. Some how the Miracle Ear in Fl.

I went to found the "last replacement left east of the Miss.." MA. didn't even try. Even if the FL office made up the story as to being the last one they did get it, replace it, and their service was excellent.

All said if I had not started with Miracle Ear I would not be continuing.

I went because after checking out three places with all offering the same hearing aid I liked the guy with Miracle Ear the best for presumed professionalism.

When I went to buy he was no longer there. Typical of my Miracle Ear experience.

I have a static buzz in my own voice that I do not recognize at all and also in everyone else's voice, on TV and all music of any sort.

I spent $7000 for them 3 years ago. Spirit Lake has tried over and over to fix them.

We go to Texas in the winter and Harlegen has tried to fix them. However each office has there own idea on my hearing test, and the results are not good at either office. They tell me my brain has to get use to them. That does not happen either.

Now we are back in Iowa and Sonya is frustrated also with me, as she has tried several different times to fix them. I text instead of the phone and I still have to read lips. I don't understand why they can't get them fixed.

I know they will never be as good as my own hearing was, but this is bad. Please advice me on what to do.

Probably would have been better for you to look around at flea markets and find an old RCA Victrola with the large V-shaped speaker and just carry the speaker around with you instead of trying to hear from the Miracle Ear junk you paid good money for.

went there once and with my condition hearing aid doesn't work even though I don't want to be bothered they continue to call harassing and annoying once I say I'm not interested that means no I have gone to numerous specialists and with what is left of my hearing in the left ear, a hearing aid doesn't help This is several years later and they still call to set up an appointment. I have their number, if I wanted an appointment I would know where to call. By the way, they did not have the equipment they needed in the Rochester hills office, so were going to send me to another office. The right testing materials should be available in all offices. And they still call.

Miracle Ear - Customer Care Review

I bought hearing aids for my dad and we have went back so many times trying to get the molds right. It has been the most frustrating experience i have ever done.

When i go back and get the hearing aids fixed, the person seen me drive up and ran to the back and the person at the front desk told me she was with a client, then when she found iut that i was there bring one of them back she came out behind the wall and said no i am right here. I dont trust people that lie to their clients. We paid over $3600. For them and they should last.

He wont wear the left one because he says when i put it in the right one wont work. I would not take or recommend tbis location to anybody.

Miracle Ear - Customer Care Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Just e exactly like the previous complaint plus i was told the same pitch about the over the ear one & was also told the in the canal wouldn't work for my kind if hearing loss. When I returned the hearing aids she told me that since I went past the 30 days the Dr would fix the in the canal ones for the same price.

I called my insurance & told that i wasn't getting the hearing aids & to get their money back from Mircle Ear. They tried, but they cashed it anyway. Also, the finance company they set me up with paid Mircle Ear 3 days after i picked them up & wasn't allowing my 30 day trial period. Thank goodness I documentet all the dates I was in that office.

I'm 70 years old & I think they target senior citizens. I'm not sure exactualy what is going to happen, but after all the complaints I've read on the internet I"m sure not going to sit back & let them use me for a doormat.

Practically the same story for me except I have never had the hearing aids. I cancelled the order before receiving them.

They were never programmed or fitted to me. Now the manager of the store, Todd Kelson in Riverdale, Utah, claims I owe him $568.50 for professional services. I went in on a Free offer for hearing test, evaluation and 30 day trial. What professional services could I possibly owe him?

They also charged the aids on my acct.

the first day I ever went there. Again, I have NEVER had the hearing aids.

Office in Mentor Ohio

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Not a consumer-friendly way of doing business. Their sign on the door has Monday-Fri 9:00-5:00 but the door was locked on a Tuesday at 11:00 with now explanation why they were closed. I called the call center and spoke to a supervisor and said they are open at another location, but no sign said that. Another customer tried but left. I did go back the next day but they refused to even make an appointment because my wife cannot be there. There might be a legitimate reason, but it didn't seem it mattered. There are other good hearing aid companies that I am sure will be a lot more consumer orientated.
