I went to Miracle Ear to take advantage of their "Free Hearing Test". It comes with a very hard sell to buy their hearing aids.

They told me that my hearing loss could be connected to dementia...among other things as just as scary. I ended up in tears. The hearing aids they recommended were their top of the line at a cost of nearly $7,000. They had me sign a paper that I understood, would allow me to try the hearing aids for 30 days.....and if I did`nt like them, I could return them...minus $500 "for their trouble". I returned two days later for my scheduled fitting.

I told them that I no longer wanted to buy their hearing aids, and had changed my mind due to personal reasons. They told me I owed the $500 anyway. I never tried them on, or even laid eyes on the hearing aids. I am out $500 and got nothing in return except a "Free Hearing Test".

I wish had done my research ! I have since read TERRIBLE reviews about Miracle Ear. Do the research yourselves.

I do not recommend this company to ANYONE! Stay clear!

Reason of review: was charged $500 and got nothing but a "free hearing test".

Monetary Loss: $500.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Location: Portland, Oregon

I wear hearing aids from another company and at my last hearing test there they told me I needed new ones as my current model would not be adequate. To get a second opinion, I went to Miracle Ear for a free test.

After the test, I was taken to meet another individual who went over the same things on the test. He tried to do a hard sell ! I said I was thinking costs over and he was becoming pushy. I don't make 6000 dollar decisions on the spur of the moment.

He said the only way to know is to try them.

Buy them and money back if not satisfied. I don't go for deals like that so I ended the talk and thanked them.

I had a similar adventure wioth Miracle ear: They convinced me to buy their "in ear" aid, at a price of $6,000 and I went for iot. After I got the device, I had to repeatedly return both of them alternately to be repaired, because after a week of usage, the devicwes went dead.

I SPENT MORE TIME WAITING FOR REPAIRS THAN WEARING THEM.

A letter sent thru Internet to miracle ear went unaswered, and I feel a total sucker! Spent 6 grands for nothing.

People, please, stay away from Miracle ear hearing aids, they aren't worth your aggravation!.

The state you live in dictates, the fees charged in Florida no fees can be charged unless you remove the hearing aids from the clinic, there is fees if you wear them for 30 days and return the product. Miracle Ear has the best warranty in industry they even allow a 1 year exchange on size and also a 1 year upgrade to another model a full credit, and nationwide free service at any miracle ear.

There are also many solutions that are under the $7000 mark that you would have heard well with.

You probably needed to explain the reason why you didn't want the aids and could have found a better solution for your problem that would have fit your budget better. I would advise you return to the location and work it out with them.
