Miracle Ear is a scam.
I went to my local Miracle Ear for a free hearing evaluation. I was supposed to have a history and discussion of my hearing issues, a voice recognition test, and a video otoscope exam.
I did not. I only had 5 minutes in a padded room with the DOOR OPEN! I suggested we close the door and the tester said the room got too hot. It was not properly ventilated, just padded for show.
After several minutes of tones in my right ear and less than half that time in my left ear, I was told I was 30% deaf and need $8000 hearing aids. It was ridiculous. They also told me if I did not get them, I would end up with Alzheimers. I think they try to convince every person who comes in to buy their hearing aids whether they need them or not.
Miracle Ear emailed me and asked me to evaluate my experience and I told them exactly what I said here but never heard anything back from them.
I was not taken in but I worry about the elderly and those without families to protect them. I would not recommend them to anyone!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
